Orcan Intelligence are partnered with a multi-national cloud consultancy who are looking for a Senior GCP Data Engineer on a 12 month remote contract for their Automotive customer.

You will collaborate with data scientists and engineers to ensure efficient data pipelines and ML model deployment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and quality assurance processes.
• Collaborate with data scientists to prepare and feature engineer data for ML models.
• Implement and manage data pipelines using tools like Apache Beam, Cloud Dataflow, or Airflow.
• Deploy and manage ML models on GCP using tools like Vertex AI or Cloud ML Engine.
• Monitor and optimize ML model performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements.
• Ensure data security and privacy compliance.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest GCP technologies and ML advancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience working with GCP or other cloud platforms.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and data querying languages.
• Experience with data processing frameworks like Apache Beam, Cloud Dataflow, or Airflow.
• Experience with ML frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Understanding of machine learning algorithms and techniques.
