Orcan Intelligence are partnered with a German logistics customer who are looking for a DevOps Engineer for a 6 month initial contract. This can be 100% remote working and is an English speaking role. 

As a DevOps Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain the customers cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will collaborate with development teams to ensure reliable deployment of their applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain GCP infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, and security components.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Collaborate with development teams to implement continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Monitor and optimize application performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements.
• Ensure adherence to security best practices and implement measures to protect GCP infrastructure and applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to GCP infrastructure and applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience working with GCP or other cloud platforms.
• Strong proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash.
• Experience with configuration management tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
